With the cold temperatures last week, we are reminded that winter is on its way. But before the snow starts of fly, I would like to linger a minute to “sit” with Fall. Fall is a glorious season. Don’t you just love it? I am not sure which element is my favorite, the changing leaves, the scents of the season, cooling temperature, soup on the stove, or the coziness our homes provide.
For those of us who live in the Midwest, we are blessed to experience a change in the seasons. Change keeps life interesting, doesn’t it? Change reminds us to be thankful and if we are tuned in, to focus on what is really important.
I hope you will allow this autumn season to be a time of reflection. To look back, even if its over the last hour, and to remind yourself that life is good and you are blessed!
Be thankful for the simple things; air to breathe, health, a hot cup of tea… By reflecting on the good, your mind doesn’t have as much room to entertain negative thoughts. So remember as you go through this day and this season of change, the key to a joyful heart is… Thankfulness.
