The snow is still flying here in Northeast Ohio. I have to believe that the temperature will start to warm up in the next few weeks.  (I hope, I hope, I hope.)   If you are selling your home, Spring is the perfect time to take a look at the outside of your dwelling with a critical eye.  After a long winter, there are bound to be repairs and maintenance that need your attention. Here are some tips to get you started…

curb-appeal

Some additional things to consider:

~ Make sure trees or bushes don’t touch people as they walk up the walkway or at the front door.
~ Check your sprinklers to make sure they are in good working order.
~ Repaint your front door and trim, if needed.
~ Clean all windows.
~ Power wash the outside of the house, including walkways and the driveway, if needed.
~ Make sure the porch lighting is working and free of cobwebs and insects.
~ Take a look at your door bell ~ is it broken?  If so, replace it with a new updated model.

After the repairs and maintenance are finished, add a new Welcome mat and some colorful flowers just outside the front door.  All of these small details will make a big impact and create a welcoming environment for potential buyers.
